Movies

These lists are not all-inclusive; I update them a regularly, in theory.  Also, I can only vouch for the ones I've seen.  If it's on the "Movies to See" list, it's because I was told it was good, or I read or saw something that make me think it would be worth seeing.
As always, let me know if you have any questions or suggestions.
Sorted alphabetically:

*This is a really difficult list to make because there are movies I like for all sorts of different reasons.  There are some romantic movies I like, some sad but thoughtful movies, some action movies, and more.  So it's hard to put them all in the same category.  Interpret the term "Favorite" loosely.  And just because a film isn't on the list doesn't mean I don't like it.

  1. The King's Speech was a big deal in my major because the king is dealing with speech issues. I haven't seen it yet, but what I frequently heard was that the ONLY reason it was rated R was because of one scene where his speech impediment (stuttering?) made him use the f-word multiple times. It's on my list to see too, but I don't know when I'll get around to it. I also want to see Jodhaa Akbaar and Ben-Hur.

Have you really not seen any of the movies on your to-watch list? Jurassic Park? I think we watched A Field of Dreams as kids, but I don't remember much about it. I'm pretty sure I watched The Others at the Nielsen's house.

Zach and I saw Casablanca and really liked it - apparently they switched directors halfway through, and I thought it made the characters feel more dynamic instead of static.

  2. I've seen the first Jurassic Park. I think I may have seen the second, but I'd like to re-watch it if that's the case. I also saw Casablanca my senior year at Groves, but I'd like to see it again because I don't remember much.
